Alarabiya News - First wounded Gazan child treated in Lebanon begins journey to healing

Adam Afana, a five-year-old who lost his family and nearly his left arm in an Israeli strike on Gaza, is the first Palestinian child from the conflict to receive medical care in Lebanon. At the American University of Beirut Medical Center, he spent six weeks in Gaza and months in Egypt. His case emphasizes the importance of taking a comprehensive approach to addressing the complex issues of war trauma, which includes both physical and psychological care. Afana's story, supported by the Ghassan Abu Sittah Children's Fund, sheds light on the larger humanitarian crisis and the ongoing need for specialized care for war-injured children.
